US Student Visa Process

International students planning to study in the United States are required to apply for an F-1 Student Visa. The process involves a few structured steps and proper documentation.

Step 1: Receive University Offer Letter

Apply to universities and receive an official admission offer from a SEVP-approved institution in the USA.

Step 2: Receive Form I-20

Once you accept the offer and provide financial documents, the university issues Form I-20, which is required for the visa application.

Step 3: Pay SEVIS Fee

Pay the SEVIS I-901 fee, which registers you in the US student tracking system.

Step 4: Complete DS-160 Form

Fill out the DS-160 online visa application form and upload your photograph as per US visa guidelines.

Step 5: Book Visa Appointment

Schedule your biometric appointment and visa interview at the US Embassy or Consulate.

Step 6: Attend Biometrics & Visa Interview

Attend the biometrics appointment followed by the visa interview, where you will be asked questions about your study plans, finances, and future goals.

Step 7: Visa Approval & Passport Collection

If approved, your passport will be stamped with the F-1 visa, allowing you to travel to the USA.
